The marine environment is one of the harshest environments to cater for,
and Sealite has over 20 years of experience in developing advanced products
to withstand the extreme elements of icing, cyclonic winds, salt-spray
and tropical humidity.
Electronics
Sealite employs leading in-house electronic engineers in the design
and development of software and related circuitry. All individual components
are sourced directly by Sealite procurement staff ensuring that only
the highest quality components are used in our products.
LED Technology
All of our marine lanterns use the latest advancements in LED (Light
Emitting Diode) technology as a light source. As one of the worlds largest
manufacturers of LED-based marine lanterns, Sealite has access to the
highest quality LEDs available. The advantages of LEDs over traditional
light sources is well established in that they typically have an operational
life in excess of 100,000 hours - resulting in enormous savings in maintenance
costs.Moulding Techniques
Our experience in rotational moulding is reflected in the wide range
of buoy products offered, and their unique structures designed to increase
overall strength and ease of use, using techniques such as in-moulded
cross bracing and in-mould graphics applications.In addition, Sealite has automated in-house high-density urethane filling
capabilities - making the Sealite buoy manufacturing division one of
the most efficient and cost-effective available, and retaining superior
quality assurance standards throughout the entire process.
Precision Construction
Part of our business philosophy is to invest in state of the art equipment
to achieve superior efficiencies and the highest levels of quality control.This is reflected in our commitment to investing in the design and construction
of injection-moulded parts including optic lenses, light bases and a
range of other components required to ensure a consistent superior quality
in all the products we manufacture.
Optical Performance
Sealite lens making capabilities are renown. With a wide range of marine
LED lenses moulded from multi-cavity dies, the complex shapes such as
the SL70 lens are a testament to the company's superior lens manufacturing
capabilities and the superior optical performance.Sealite also supplies leading independent manufacturers of aids to navigation
equipment with LED driving circuitry and polycarbonate lenses.
Award-Winning, Patented Technology
Sealite holds several United States and Australian patent registrations
on the range of innovative designs, with other regional patents pending
in Canada, United Kingdom and Europe.
The Sealite SL70 solar marine light has been awarded the prestigious
Australian DesignMarkÒ at the Australian Design Awards. The DesignMarkÒ is
judged by a large group of industry professionals who review and
vote for products based on their product design expertise and judgement.
In addition, Sealite products are on permanent display at the
Powerhouse
Museum of Science and Technology, in Sydney Australia. For consecutive
years in July 2004 and 2005, Sealite was awarded Victorian Marine Manufacturer
of the Year in recognition of the company's generation
of significant export income and furthering the technical skills
within the local community.
