Sealite Launch Re-Designed SLB600 Marker Buoy
Sealite has modified the design of the SLB600 to enhance the performance of this popular marker buoy giving increased buoyancy and strength. This new design replaces the SLB600 and the SLB610.
These general improvements to the popular SLB600 include:-
- Increased Reserve Buoyancy - the size & shape of the SLB600 buoy below water level has been changed to increase the reserve buoyancy from 14kg to 26kg (an 86% increase)
- Improved Strength & Durability of Mooring Eye- the mooring eye of the SLB600 buoy is now moulded into the product during manufacture. Additional material has also been added below the mooring eye for even greater strength & durability
The SLB600 has a diameter of 600mm and is available with user selected mould-in graphics.
The SLB600 is rotationally-moulded using UV-stabilised virgin polyethylene giving the buoy a myriad of benefits over traditional steel types such as high tensile strength for increased impact and puncture resistance, lightweight for ease of deployment, and minimal maintenance because the buoys never need painting. Sealite use UV-stabilised polyethylene giving the marine buoy additional protection from the degradation effects of UV exposure.
Sealite only uses virgin polyethylene which is free from heavy metals and contains no toxic chemicals. The buoys are made from recyclable materials allowing them to be recycled at the end of their working life.
